CHAPTER 1 – The Dream

Alice…Alice…Why is your name Alice?

Alice…Alice…Where do you come from?

Alice…Alice…Why is your hand…

Stained with blood…?

The land was burned. Dead bodies found everywhere, stabbed, ripped, burnt. Blood traces spread everywhere on the earth. Following the blood traces, was a pile of dead bodies. On top of it stood five figures. Each with glowing red eyes as red as blood. They’re the five terrors of wonderland which had cause The Bastein Tragedy.

The Bastein Tragedy is a massacre done by the five terrors of wonderland. The reason behind it is still unknown until now. Few months after the tragedy, the leader of the five terrors who called herself “Alice” was sentenced to death and peace was bestowed once again in wonderland. The Bastein Tragedy was remained hidden as a mystery of the wonderland which is now almost forgotten and was hidden with the reason of “traitory” by the five holy knight of wonderland.

But there’s one truth that’s hidden by wonderland. Before Alice was sentenced to death, she pleaded one thing, “Those who’ll be the next Alice shall repeat the tragedy once again. And when that happens…Everyone would know the truth…”. This had scared the whole wonderland so by an agreement, they would secretly hunts everyone who would enter wonderland and erase them.

Dead bodies scattered around the land…

I stood there...

My hand…

Was stained by blood…

Alyss wakes up by the sound of the alarm clock. It’s 6 A.M. time to get up and prepares for school.

“It’s…the same dream again…” she thought

Ignoring what she had saw last night in her dream, she gets up and make her bed. After that she goes to shower and had breakfast. The last thing she does is going to school. It’s just a normal day with the usual routine for Alyss. Nothing changes even a bit.

Alyss Fortenza is just a usual school girl who lives in Japan. She moved here since her parents back then in France has already died in an accident and no one can tend her there. Here, she lives with just her grandmother. Alyss’ appearance is not like an usual girl since she’s a breed between France and Japanese. Her hair is long raven black and her eyes’ color is not usual. It’s crimson-colored, just like the color of the blood. It’s one of the reason why she has been avoided by her schoolmate. Some thought that she wears a lens but she wasn’t. Alyss is also bad at making friends so she doesn’t really mind of being alone.

So today, as usual, she goes to school today. But when she gets there, the atmosphere is heavy and unfriendly. It’s more disturbing than usual. She feels that many eyes are giving her a really disturbing look. She also hears them whispering something about her. Ignoring those peoples, she proceeds to her classroom. But there, she also has the same treatment. Ignoring again, she puts her bag on her desk and sits on her chair.

“Alyss-san~” Someone calls her

It was her only friend or to be exact, someone who has the courage to approach her, Kagamiya Aoi. The girl with the blue short hair is the only one that can interact and approach Alyss. The two has the same problem to blend with others so they get along with each other well.

“Hey, have you heard?” Aoi asks

“What is it? Must be another of your lame jokes right?” Alyss answers coldly

“NO! It…It’s important!”

Noticing the change of expression on Aoi’s face, she inhales deep and decided to listen to what Aomine got to says “what is it?”

“T-there’s been a serial murder lately near our complex…and…” Aoi hesitates to continue

“what is it? Don’t stop halfway.”

“T-the target are young girls and they have the one similiarities w-which is…” Aoi stops for a few seconds "They had that same strange weird dreams that someone is calling them to Wonderland like yours that you once told me."

The two is in silence. Alyss’ expression can’t be predicted. She doesn’t feel scared at all and instead, she then laugh, “ff Ha Ha, Aoi, It's just a dream don't be silly."

“B-but still.” Aomine still worries

“You don’t have to worry. Whether or not I get killed…No one would care about me right?” Alyss replies with a mocking smile.

Come, O’ my choosen Alice…

Alyss walked alone home. She had felt strange since she was going home back at school as if someone is stalking her. She decides to put a trap to the stalker. On the next turn, she fasten her pace and catch the culprit. She did it and the stalker turns out to be…Aoi

“Aoi? What’re you doing following me like this?” Alyss is either surprised or mad at her

“I…Um…I was worried about you so…I decided to follow you…”

Alyss releases her grip and turns around, continuing her way to her home. “Just do what you want.” She says permitting Aoi to follow her. Arriving at Alyss’ house, as always, it was empty. A cold house that even Aomine never can't get along with the atmosphere.

“Your grandma is away again?” Aoi asks and Alyss answers only with a nod

The two then proceeds to Alyss’ room. A usual room with usual decoration. Nothing special. Alyss put her things there and go downstairs again to get some water. “You gonna stay the night?” Asks Alyss

“Yes, I’m still worried. Don’t worry! I’ll protect you!” Aoi says proudly

“A person who’s even scared of cats like you?”

“H-hey, this and that are different!” Aoi blushes “Besides…I can’t do anything without you…”

Alyss was a little bit touched but she never shows a change of expression. “I’ll prepare the futon for you. We should go to bed early.” Alyss gets out from the room and brings a futon with her for Aoi to sleep. Aoi thanks her for her kindness.

Alice…

Alice…

Come to me Alice…

Come with me…

To…

Wonderland…

Unconsciously, Alyss wakes up. She then stands up and face a mirror in her room. Aoi notices that Alyss has waken up and tries to wakes Alice but she gets thrown by an invisible barricade. Alice then looks at the mirror. Something draws her stronger. She then touch the mirror and it change into a portal. Following the lead inside her, she enters the portal. Aoi who couldn’t let Alyss by herself decided to jump in and follow her.

Now…the pieces are already in place…

Let’s begin…
