ALICE - Chapter 2

CHAPTER 2 – THE POWER

Welcome to Wonderland…

My dearest Alice…

“ALYSS!!”

Alyss wakes up and surprised by the sound of someone calling her. She tilts her head to find Aoi with a worried expression on her face. She tries to get up and sit. Her head is still dizzy. She looks around her and notices that she’s not in her room anymore. She was in a grass field with strange shaped plants around her. The plants are not normal, they’re shaped like twisted, heart, spade and many more. The colors around her are also strange and eye-catching. It’s like she’s in a some sort of a distorted world.

“Where…are we?” Alyss asks

“That’s the same question I want to ask to you. You were sleep walking and enters the mirror. I followed you and the next thing I knew is that we’ve arrived here.”

“Sleep…walking…?”

Alyss tries to remember what had happened but nothing comes to her mind. The only thing she remembers was her dream. There was some kind of a voice that keeps calling her and talks about wonderland. Could it be that this place is wonderland?

“Is this…Wonderland?” Alyss mumbles to herself

“What did you say?”

“Nothing.” Alyss tries to covers up

Alyss stands up and take a look of the scene around her. This place looks so strange yet so familiar to her. It’s like she has been here once.

“Any idea where we should go?” Aoi asks

Alyss then tries to look for a place to shelter and asks for information. Just then, she noticed a foggy figure of a castle just north from them. But when she looks at that foggy figure, her head suddenly in pain so much and some blur fragment of memories can be seen. The fragments are much alike the one she had in her dream, that bloody dream.

“Alyss?! You okay?” Aoi panics

The pain slowly gone but then, she heard the same strange voice that she had heard before again.

“Alice…come here Alice…”

“I’m…coming…” Alyss mumbles again and walks toward somewhere, following the sound with a blank look

“ALYSS?!” Aoi tries to prevent her but somehow gets thrown by an unknown force around Alyss

Having no choice, Aoi follows Alyss. Alyss slowly walks towards the castle direction. But in the middle on the way, they are stopped by two men that blocks their way. They don’t look like a person that can be ask to have a good conversation. One of them even bring a sword on his hand and it has been sheathed.

“It seems that we’ve found ourselves an Alice boss.” Said the one with a weapon with a smirk on his face

“Ha ha ha! It’s our lucky day!” The one that’s seems like the boss says happily

Aoi is frightened but on the other side, Alyss seems still haven’t woken up. Instead, Alyss looks at the boss with a blank look and make him frightened. There’s some kind of a heavy atmosphere around Alyss that makes him scared and can’t move an inch. He’s like standing before a beast. Having his pride hurt by fearing a little girl such Alyss, he ordered his man to slay her.

“No! ALYSS!” Aoi tries to prevent the man but she’s not quick enough

Before even barely touch Alyss, the man is thrown away just like what happened to Aoi but with more force. Alyss’ crimson eyes then glows and a smirk planted on her lips. She then laugh, a terrifying laugh. She approach the man and look down on him. The man was terrified. Alyss approach him more. In order to defend himself, he blindly swift his blade but to be stopped by a giant black rabbit that protects her.

“Kill him…” Alyss ordered.

As her order, the black rabbit grabs the man and rips his boddy with its claw making a blood rain which hits Alyss face a bit. Alyss’ smirk grows wider. She then turns to the other man and approach him slowly.

“N-no! don’t come near me!!” the man then pulls out a pistol and shoots at her but in vain since the black rabbit protects her. He tries to run away but swiftly, the black rabbit catch his legs and hold him to the ground. The rabbit’s claw is wounding the man’s leg. The rabbit’s terrifying face is just a few inches away from him. The glowing red eyes of the rabbit made him even more terrified. Its presence is like hollow.

“HELP! FORGIVE ME! I-I’LL LET YOU GO SO PLEASE SPARE MY LIFE!” The man beg

“Spare…your life…?” Alyss mumbles “Ha…ha ha…” Alyss laughes. The black rabbit tighten its grip and wounds the man’s face with its claw “Forgive…you? Ha ha…Kill him now!”

“NO! YOU MONSTER!” the rabbit’s attack suddenly stops

“I…Monster…?” Alyss mumbles. Suddenly her head hurts again and another faint memory appears in her head. “AA…ARRGH!!” She screams at that great pain and suddenly fainted. The black rabbit also disappears as Alice faints.

Aoi rushes towars the unconscious Alyss. The man is now relieved. He pulls out his pistol again and aim for Alyss. “Die you brat!” Aoi tries to protect Alyss by becoming her shield without concerning her own life. She closes her eyes and prepares to feel the pain of bullets through her flesh but after a few seconds, nothing happened. She opens her eyes to see that the man is already dead with a Jack trump car stabbed his head.

“That was dangerous.” Says a voice

Aoi looks to the side and sees a man with red hair wearing high hat with two boys that looks much alike each other or twins. Aoi was so surprised seeing the strange people but they seem to be the good person since they have saved Aoi’s life.

“It’s surprising to see her releasing such power on her first time arriving here.” The man in hat says

“Who are you?” Aomine asks

“Forgive me, I haven’t introduced myself. I’m Mad Hatter and this two boys is Tweedledee and Tweedledum.” The main in hat or The Mad Hatter introduced himself.

“Hello too, We’re Twedledee and Twedledum!” The twins says in unison

Aomine is still confused.

“I see that you’re confused my dear. But curiosity kills the cat so for now, let’s head to a safer place.” Mad Hatter offers

Not knowing what to do, Aoi just follows the three and carries Alyss with her too on her back. She doesn’t know whether The Hatter could be trusted or not but now, she can only trust him since they don’t have place to go.

From now on the path you’ll walk is a bloody path…

The blood stained rabbit will guide you to me…

I’ll wait for the day we’ll meet…
